Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

Blessings everyone. I declare 2019 to be the year when all good things will work together to fulfill God’s purpose for your life. He said in Jeremiah 29:11′
For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

May this year bring you that joy and peace that resides in Christ Jesus so that God can carry out this plan and do His work through you.

As you can see, my reflection is linked to Galatians 6:2. which implores us to bear one another’s burden and so fulfill the law of Christ which beseeches us to love our neighbours as ourselves. We all agree that humanity is suffering. The ingredients of love and neighbourliness seem to have become lost as we become centered on ourselves and technology. We just have to look at the trending news to understand that we are not bearing each other’s burden, but have become “lovers of self.”

For 2019, if we can reverse the chains of hate and individualism or being ‘lover of self” The ‘selfies’ or ‘social media’ should not replace face-to-face relationships among family members, ‘real’ friends and neighbours. I said ‘real’ friends because as the hearts of men harden, we are seeing more ‘unfriendly friends’ manifesting and creating havoc on human relationships through barefaced wickedness. Many have become more cautious and even suspicious towards each other but in faith, we can be guided by the words of today given above.

Truly, for 2019 we can be mindful of those who are in trouble and need even our encouragement or understanding. The rest of the scripture reminds us to do so in humility and be not puffed up about bearing the burden of someone who is going through situations. It speaks especially to those who are operating in the faith of Christ. Verse 6 states, “Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.

Like myself, many are far from being learned in the words but as we seek understanding we can communicate to those who are carrying burdens. We might just start them on their own journey of seeking knowledge for their deliverance.

I will leave verses 7 and 8 for your own reflection as the Spirit leads:

Be not be deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he reap. Verse 7

For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.” Verse 8

These are perilous times but we will invest in the Spirit of God by being His hands and feet on the earth. By touching the spirit of another, we store up treasure in God’s kingdom. As we face this new year, let us consider those around us carry visible or invisible burdens and pains. Verse 11 encourages: “As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially those who are of the household of faith.

Yes, even the faithful in Christ need brotherly assistance, so use your opportunities to help all men. Many believers are being tested and prevented from becoming what God has in His plan for them. The apostle therefore added, “especially” those who are of the household of faith.

Let 2019 be the year we stand for and with Christ so we can bear one another’s burden and grow as spiritual beings with divine purposes.

I will leave with you, the assurance in verses 17 and 18:

“From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.”Verse 17

If you have given your life to Christ and the enemy has come in through an open back door to deceive, distract and destroy; this year you can close that door and take back what was stolen. Reorder your step in his words and he will fix that breach.

Verse 17 assures that the devil has no legal right to torment and manipulate your life if you are anchored in Christ. If you have not dedicated your life to your heavenly Father, by accepting his son who is the Way- the start of a new year is a good time to turn over a new leaf. Start by praising and worshiping him in spirit and truth. Ask forgiveness in penitence for all your transgressions including those you are not aware of, forgiveness to those who trespassed against you and those you have hurt. Look at your heart to see which of his commandments you need to adhere to and acknowledge Jesus as your Redeemer. Establish connection with a true community of believers for growth and guidance. Your relationship with the Father is a personal one, however with internet access there are many avenues to link with true believers if none is close by.

I intended to just share my reflection this morning but was led to share an invitation to Christ to someone who might be going through burdens and do not know where to turn. Be blessed and encouraged whoever or wherever you are. Guard your soul and trust the Father to fix all that has been broken.
Verse 18, “Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen”

What Doth a Soul Worth?

A soul is priceless;
not taken nor given lightly
without consent.

Not for stealth,
bartering, wealth
nor deceptive gain.

A soul is priceless,
guard it, renew it
but never give it to Darkside.

Let it light your way and others
through the journey called life.

Protect it and if taken,
snatch it back.

If you give it, make sure
it is given unto life not death,
freedom not control,
light not darkness.

The soul is a gift, protect it.
What doth it profit a man
to gain the whole world
and lose his soul?
Nothing, nada, nill, null, zilch!

Much of today's world has experienced what I will call fractured realities. As a result of the conditioning tools of education, religion, mainstream media and other agencies, realities that do not add up have shaped thought processes in Western societies. As we mature and with each positive or negative experience, we seek out a journey of renewal, truth and clarity to help us own our thinking. Lampstand2016 represents my note-taking as I seek my own truths and sense making, starting with the Bible. You may join me on this quest for meaning, renewal and personal truths.
